Aircraft Management

Skytech-AIC has extensive management experience of both its own fleet of Boeing 747s (now sold) and Boeing 777s, together with some 20 additional aircraft which are managed on behalf of third parties.  In April 2014, Skytech-AIC formed a joint-venture company, DS Skytech Limited, to undertake the technical management of the owned and managed portfolios of both DS Aviation, the aircraft leasing unit of German finance house Dr. Peters Group, and of Skytech-AIC.  DS Skytech is owned equally between the partners and is based at Skytech-AIC's Hampshire, UK, headquarters.

Aircraft management comprises the day-to-day preparation of invoices and collection of lease payments and the continual monitoring of financial, technical and geopolitical aspects of Lessee obligations including the securing of the timely submission of required financial data by the Lessee and the arrangement of annual technical inspections.

Owners and Lenders receive comprehensive quarterly reports, which are highly regarded in the industry, detailing all pertinent factors affecting the Lessee, the Aircraft and the markets for both.  Constant, professional management ensures that problems of either a financial or technical nature are detected early ensuring that remedial action may be taken.   Such remedial action can include, in extremis, voluntary or involuntary repossession.

Unlike some aircraft managers, Skytech-AIC insists on performing a physical inspection of each aircraft and its technical records annually. DS Skytech's inspectors are all highly experienced licensed engineers with considerable experience on the subject aircraft types, and their Reports are regarded as among the most professional and comprehensive of their kind.  Operators have also commented that the suggestions and recommendations made by DS Skytech's inspectors have proved to be of great benefit to their maintenance operations.
